A Letter From the President
Welcome to the Illinois chapter of the Association for Information Systems. I am truly honored to be the incoming President for this wonderful organization. Within my four semesters in AIS, I have seen the cultivation of a beautiful community of passionate and driven individuals interested in the field of Information Systems and I am excited to start another semester in the organization.
Founded in 1994, the Association for Information Systems is a globally recognized community with over 100 countries in membership and thousands of educational institutions involved. The mission of AIS is to “serve society through the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of excellence in the practice and study of information systems”.
Within our Illinois chapter which was established in 2009, we initiate three main pillars for our members: professional development, technology, and social. We instill these focuses in our weekly meetings which include opportunities to learn pivotal IS softwares, participate in professional development ventures, and grasp opportunities to simply make friends!
